Finalists from the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, held last month in Reno, described their complex projects to Conan who reacted with confusion, boredom and pretend understanding. More than 500 schoolchildren, teachers and politicians are celebrating the winners of Intel®-Leibniz-Challenge 2009, announced at Leibniz University Hanover after four months of working on real-life computing-related exercises developed by engineers of Intel in Braunschweig. The winners include four members of the team 'no_name' were honoured by the President of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs, receiving an internship at Intel in Braunschweig, grant for Leibniz University Hanover and hardware from Hewlett-Packard. As part of the German Intel Education program, the Intel-Leibniz-Challenge aims to fascinate teenagers about natural sciences and engineering professions. More than 2,200 schoolchildren had registered for this year's edition.
